Lance is an independent filmmaker that has worked on 13 feature films as a writer, director, producer, 1st AD, and other crew positions. Lance volunteered for deadCENTER for 5 years in programming and events before joining the team as Executive Director in 2010.

Kim Haywood

Kim is deadCENTER’s first employee and has kept the ship on course for the past 9 years. Kim is also a filmmaker, having produced a rock opera, Rainbow Around the Sun that premiered at SXSW before its triumphant return to Oklahoma as deadCENTER’s kick-off film in 2008.

Kevin Ely
Features Programmer

Kevin is the Creative Director at LifeChurch.tv and a long-time deadCENTER volunteer that has worked as a features programmer for the past several years. Kevin also makes films, including Rainbow Around the Sun with Kim Haywood.

Brian Hearn
Features Programmer

Brian has been the Film Curator for the Oklahoma City Museum of Art for the past 16 years, providing the only year round venue for awesome independent films in Oklahoma City. He has been a volunteer for deadCENTER since its inception and is one the driving forces for independent film in Oklahoma.

Sara McCombs
Shorts Programmer

After overseeing our box office for a few years, Sara joined the deadCENTER programming team last year as our first official shorts programmer. Sara has worked in film and television production for the past several years. In 2010, Sara produced a film, “The Rounder Comes to Town,” that won Best Oklahoma film at deadCENTER in 2010.

Alyx Picard
Program Coordinator

alyx@deadcenterfilm.orgA long-time volunteer, Alyx came on board with our programming team last year to introduce new technologies and take our programming processes into the future. Needless to say, she has made all of our lives so much better. Alyx also works as an administrator at UCO’s Academy of Contemporary Music, Oklahoma’s School of Rock.
