deadCENTER Film Festival is now accepting entries for the 2011 festival, which will be held June 8-12, 2011. Submitting your film or short screenplay is easy and free. Clicky on the link above to check out categories, deadlines, and entry rules.
Films will be selected from the following categories: Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Short, Animation, Student and Oklahoma film. And, for the first time, deadCENTER Film will host a Short Screenplay competition for scripts 15 pages or less and will feature a table read of all the finalists. Thousands of dollars in cash and prizes will be awarded to the winners.
Final entry deadline for all screenplays and films is February 14, 2011. The festival will offer an early bird discount until November 12, 2010. Registration fees for film projects submitted by November 12 are $40 for feature length narratives and documentaries, $30 for short films, animations, and $25 for student films and short screenplays. Submission fees for projects submitted after November 12, 2010 increase by $5 each month until the final deadline on February 14, 2011. All high school films and screenplays will be accepted free of charge.
Named one of the top regional festivals in “The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide,” the 11th annual festival spans 5 days and anticipates over 10,000 audience members from around the country. Films will be screened at various locations in downtown Oklahoma City including the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and The Oklahoma City Downtown Library. With special screenings, parties, panels series, table reads and special guests the 2011 festival will live up to its notice as “one of the best film festivals around. Period.”
