deadCenter film is partnering with The Chickasaw Nation to launch a new technology conference this summer in conjunction with their annual film festival. The conference, called techCenter, will take place June 8-10 at 21C Museum Hotel and will focus on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Drones. The plan is to explore how the technologies changing the film and entertainment industry are also rapidly expanding businesses in a variety of sectors.
techCenter will kick-off on Friday, June 8, with an Augmented Reality ribbon cutting for Trifecta Communication at 12:00pm, followed by a series of keynote speakers and industry panels from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Trade show style booths will be set up with hands-on demonstrations of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Drones from 10:00am to 6:00pm throughout the weekend.
Baker Hughes/ GE Research will headline the event with a presentation about how they are using these new technologies in the oil and gas industry. Other local companies offering presentations and demonstrations include the Oklahoma City Thunder, Thunder LaunchPad, Trifecta Communication, WeGoLook, ADG Architecture, WonderTek Labs, Innovation Point, Central Electric Stillwater, CEC Corporation, Ocupath, Veribus, Overworld, Clevyr, and StarSpace 46. If there is a business use for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, or Drones in your industry, techCenter will connect you with local companies that can make that a reality.
The techCenter conference is free and open to the public thanks to a major gift from The Chickasaw Nation with additional support from the Inasmuch Foundation, Kirkpatrick Foundation, Trifecta Communication, Diffinity, Cox Business, AT&T, StarSpace 46, and 21c Museum Hotel.
