- High school films are free to submit with valid student ID.
We select a broad slate of films that cater to all tastes, from off-the-wall comedies and Oscar-nominated documentaries to intense dramas and spooky scary horror films. Last year, we had over 1000 films submitted from Oklahoma filmmakers and all around the world, with 110 selected for official screening at the festival.
We love our filmmakers, and have featured over 1,500 quality independent films over the past 15 years. Our efforts have attracted talent like Tim Blake Nelson, James Marsden, Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman, Famke Janssen, Wes Studi, Bob Berney, Oscar winners Gray Frederickson, Matthew W. Mungle, and Albert S. Ruddy. We had a record-breaking 30,000 people attend our screenings last year! And, our distribution forum helps connect filmmakers with sales agents and distributors in one-on-one meetings. Heading into our sweet sixteen, deadCENTER continues to be a nationally recognized platform for filmmakers to share their work and one of the most fun festivals for filmmakers and audiences alike to attend.
