Since 2001, deadCenter has attracted the best independent films from around the world to downtown Oklahoma City and provided year-round programming and education opportunities for students and working professionals. Click here to discover how we grew from a one-night screening of local short films into one of the greatest celebrations of independent film on earth.

deadCenter Film was founded by filmmakers for filmmakers. Our dedication to promoting the art of film is shared by everyone that works and volunteers at our festival. Click here to see bios of the key people keeping deadCenter on track.

Over the past 16 years, deadCenter has screened 1,600 films, chosen from thousands of entries from around the world, across the nation, and all over Oklahoma. We love every single film we have presented. Click here to see some of the feature films that have defined our festival over the past few years.

deadCenter Film promotes, celebrates, and encourages creativity through independent film. In order to ignite a thriving interactive film community, it must be a safe, respectful space for all.

deadCenter will not tolerate harassment in any form, including offensive verbal or online comments related to gender, gender identity & expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
