The crown jewel of deadCenter education is our award-winning, statewide education program. deadCenter visits 30 high schools, colleges, and technology centers each year to lead free film seminars. We use the process of making movies to help students think more creatively, work more collaboratively, and speak more confidently in front of their peers.

Deadcenter university

deadCenter University is another free program we offer to 60 high school students each June during the deadCenter Film Festival. Through our partnership with Metro Technology Centers, students take classes from the award-winning filmmakers in town for the festival, get hands-on experience shooting a movie with local filmmakers, network with other film enthusiasts, and enjoy a weekend of great films and panels.

deadCenter offers free fall break film seminars for metro area high school, tech center, and home school students in three locations: Norman, Edmond, and Oklahoma City. The seminars touch on every aspect of the filmmaking process and introduce the students to local working filmmakers. Click here for more details and contact information.
