OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA (April 24, 2019)- deadCenter Film is hosting its annual kick-off party at the Governor’s Mansion on Saturday, May 18. This event is deadCenter’s largest fundraiser, with more than 700 people expected to attend. Tickets for the party are $100 each and can be purchased at deadcenterfilm.org. Proceeds support deadCenter’s year-round education programming.
deadCenter is hosting this year’s party at the Governor’s Mansion to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Oklahoma Film + Music Office. For forty years, the film commission, later named the Oklahoma Film + Music Office, has provided incentives, training, networking events, and links to Hollywood to help grow the local film industry. Recent results have been outstanding, with $78 million spent in Oklahoma by 75 different productions since 2015.
The deadCenter kick-off party is presented by The Social Order, a dining collective that includes The Jones Assembly, Texadelphia, Seven47, and Fuzzy’s Tacos.
The party will have a Yacht Rock theme, so guests can expect easy, breezy music, nautical themed cocktail dress, delicious food, celebrity appearances, performances from local music and dance acts, and, a hosted bar featuring Svedka Vodka, Ruffino Prosecco, Charles Smith Wines, and Corona beer. Come prepared to dance, drink, and celebrate the magic of film with Oklahoma City’s most diverse and extravagant crowd!
