deadCenter University Youth Camp at Oklahoma City Community College takes place in June, the week of the festival. Students will receive a film overview and will get to create a short film that will premiere at the 24th deadCenter Film Festival. (Limited to 20 students)

The Oklahoma Film and Television Academy is on a mission to develop a production-ready workforce within the state of Oklahoma and beyond. Since its inception in 2020, OFTA has trained hundreds of students and prepared them to work in the state’s burgeoning film industry. The academy offers entry-level production assistant training, as well as more advanced specialization courses including Assistant Direction, Production Design, Set Construction, Sound or Lighting Department among others. OFTA’s cornerstone class SET READY™ aims to prepare its students to work on any set as professionally prepared Production Assistants as well as helping them take the next steps toward specialization and a burgeoning career in the Oklahoma film industry.
