Introducing…

One of the exciting new developments for deadCenter Film this year is the emergence of the deadCenter Teen Board. This year the Teen Board will be made up of high school filmmakers from Oklahoma City-area schools, with an intention to expand to other schools in the future. The Teen Board will have the opportunity to engage in outreach and apply the mission, vision, and goals of deadCenter for Oklahoma City’s young and emerging filmmaking community, providing resources and access necessary for the development and nurturing of young filmmaking voices and skills.

For the 2024 Festival, the Teen Board will be in charge of screening the High School festival submissions and awarding the Best High School Short award. This is a great opportunity for young filmmakers to see the workings of a film festival firsthand.

For 2024 the deadCenter Teen Board will meet at least four times a year, visit local participating studios and have the right to first refusal of spots within the limited enrollment for this year’s deadCenter University.
